New captive scholarship named after Jeff Kehler

Somers Risk Consulting is offering a complete scholarship to the associate in captive insurance (ACI) designation program in the name of Jeff Kehler, the former captive program administrator for South Carolina who died in January of this year.

The company said that this was in recognition of Kehler’s leadership in the captive insurance industry and his strong belief in the highest educational standards for captive insurance professionals.

The Jeff Kehler Memorial Scholarship will be based on interest and enthusiasm for the captive insurance industry; preference will be given to candidates with financial need.

Applicants should contact the International Centre for Captive Insurance Information (ICCIE) in Vermont.

ICCIE will begin accepting completed applications after June 1st, and the deadline for submitting a completed application will be July 30th. ICCIE will announce the Jeff Kehler Memorial Scholarship award winner at the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association annual conference, in mid-September.
