North Carolina captive association elects new chair

The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association has elected a captive insurance owner to lead the organisation for the first time in its history. 

Ron Adams, vice president for risk management of Baker Roofing, was elected chair.  

Baker Roofing is the second largest roofing contractor in the US.  

Aoife Taylor of Align Risk Solutions moved up to vice chair, Lea Riddle of McGriff  was selected as Secretary. Riddle is a former chair of the association. Scott Bailey of Carr Riggs & Ingram, currently chair of the Annual Conference Committee,  moves up to the Board as Treasurer. 

Three new board members, Andy Rennick of Womble, Scott Bailey of Carr Riggs & Ingram and Jordan Mosher of Huntington Bank were elected to three year terms while Paige Bell of Lockton, was elected to an unexpired two-year term. 

Outgoing Chair Nate Reznicek said: “We have elected a great group of diverse officers, very representative of our membership, to lead us into our second decade as a premium destination for captives. 

"Ron Adams has been invaluable to the Board with his long experience as a captive owner. 

“I am confident that under his and the Board’s leadership the domicile will continue to thrive.”

Prior to Baker Roofing Company, Adams held senior positions in risk

management and product development with major USinsurance companies, as well as

positions in sales management and marketing. 

During his 35-year career in the insurance industry, he has developed Risk Management programs for the healthcare industry, transportation, construction and association-based clients.
