Poole joins RISCS as partner

RISCS has announced the appointment of Kevin Poole as a partner at the firm, with a focus on developing its captive consulting services in the Americas.

He will be based in the Cayman Islands.

Poole has close to 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry with a career encompassing broking, insurance carriers and captive management in the UK, Guernsey, Bermuda and, for nearly the last two decades, the Cayman Islands.

He spent four years working for the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and has also worked in the captive management industry where he was more recently director of business development at Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman), where he helped corporate clients from numerous industry sectors establish captives, cell company and ILS structures.

Poole has acted as chair of the Cayman Captive Forum Committee and was the inaugural recipient of the Captive International award for Captive Manager of the Year (Cayman) in 2020.

“All of us at RISCS are delighted that Kevin is joining us,” said Oliver Schofield, managing partner of RISCS. “His extensive captive experience in North America will provide an added dimension to our work in this region and in the growing captive marketplace of South & Latin America. Consistent with our global approach, Kevin will work with brokers, underwriters, captive managers and corporates across the region to deliver our truly independent, award-winning captive consulting.”
