Rafalko appointed to SOFE board of governors
CIC Services has announced the election of director of captive management Leane Rafalko to the Society of Financial Examiners board of governors (SOFE).
Rafalko has been a member of SOFE since 2007 and was previously elected to the board of governors in 2011 and served two terms.
Celebrating 50 years this year, SOFE consists of “professionals dedicated to the preservation of the public’s trust in the field of insurance financial regulation.” SOFE’s board of governors provides supervision, control and direction of the general policies and affairs of the Society and its committees and publications.
Rafalko joined CIC Services in the spring of 2023 after previously serving as an audit manager at RH CPAs, PLLC, and prior to that was a senior captive consultant at Hylant Global Captive Solutions. On the regulatory side, Rafalko spent over 20 years with the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
“We’re proud to have stars on our team like Leane Rafalko who bring extensive experience to the table that garners success for our clients while also serving the industry at large,” said CIC Services chief operating officer and managing partner Bryan Ridgway. “SOFE is an esteemed organisation within our profession, and we’re proud to have a team member serve on the Board of Governors.”
Rafalko has also recently been elected to the board of directors for the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association and began her term in May.
