SCCIA reminds on micro-captive webinar

The South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA) has reminded its members that they can still register for the SCCIA’s upcoming webinar on micro-captives on August 1.

The webinar will be focused on the recent IRS proposed regulations on section 831(b) captives and how the landscape for small captives has – and has not – shifted.

Panellists will discuss the status of the proposed regulations at the conclusion of the notice and comment period, the current environment for 831(b) captives, what to expect in an IRS audit, options for those who choose to exit an 831(b) captive, and IRS reporting obligations for 831(b) captives and material advisors.

The speakers include Allan Autry, a tax partner with Johnson Lambert and Bailey Roese, a partner with Dentons Bingham Greenebaum.

Registration is free to members and $50 for non-members.
