Tokio Marine Europe appoints new legal & compliance head

Tokio Marine HCC International has appointed Sandy Mavrommati as its new head of legal & compliance for its European operations, Tokio Marine Europe (TME)

The company said that it is moving to enhance its network of compliance expertise. The appointment is subject to approval by the Commissariat aux Assurances, the Luxembourg regulator

Mavrommati joined from Hiscox where she was previously head of compliance for Europe. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the growing compliance team across Europe and will report into David Feldman, head of international complianceHer key responsibilities will be to drive the business’ understanding of regulatory risk, establish control frameworks across business units, monitor and communicate local and European regulatory change and establish appropriate control frameworks in response

She brings nearly 20 years’ experience in compliance and regulatory roles in both the insurance and banking sectors, having worked at AXA, Credit Suisse and Piraeus Bank, among others
