NCCIA reschedules its annual conference in August

The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has rescheduled its 2020 Annual Conference to August 30 through September 2, 2020.

The conference, which was originally scheduled for May 13-15, will still take place at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, North Carolina. Individuals, sponsors and exhibitors who have already registered for the conference will not need to re-register, but accommodation will need to be re-booked.

The early bird registration has been extended to June 15. People requiring refunds will be given them without the published administrative fee.

The conference was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Thomas Adams, president and CEO of NCCIA, said: “With so many conferences having been cancelled we encourage the folks impacted by those cancellations to plan on joining us in Durham for the North Carolina meeting.”

David Littlehale, chairman of the annual conference committee, admitted there would likely be changes to the conference programme. “In the following weeks the committee will be contacting all speakers scheduled to attend the conference to confirm their ability to join us August 30 through September 2. We will then make adjustments to our  program based on what we learn,” he said.
