Burns & Wilcox promotes trio of executives


Burns & Wilcox has announced the addition of California-based Joe Jurkovich and the promotion of Tom Carvalho and Evan Hudson at the wholesale insurance brokerage.

Jurkovich joins as associate managing director, where he is responsible for overseeing the Fresno office’s day-to-day operations and growth strategy. With nine years of industry experience, his areas of expertise include commercial property and inland marine. He most recently worked at Deans & Homer where he was an underwriter and branch manager. Jurkovich reports to Rich Gobler, senior vice president, managing director, Burns & Wilcox.

Carvalho, senior personal insurance underwriter, is promoted to associate managing director, where he is responsible for helping oversee the San Francisco office’s day-to-day operations while continuing to grow his personal insurance business. Carvalho reports to Gobler.

Evan Hudson, senior commercial underwriter, is promoted to commercial manager, contract/binding markets, where he leads contract binding relationships for the San Francisco office. Hudson has more than a decade of commercial insurance underwriting and brokering experience at Burns & Wilcox and is known for serving key markets such as construction, manufacturing, distribution and habitational. He also reports to Gobler.
