Farmer appointment confirmed by South Carolina senate
Raymond Farmer’s appointment as director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance has been confirmed by the state’s senate. Farmer was appointed to the director position by South Carolina governor, Nikki Hayley in November.
Farmer, who has 33 years of experience in the insurance industry, last served as the vice president for the American Insurance Association. He has also worked as deputy insurance commissioner of the enforcement division for the Georgia Department of Insurance and has served for 30 years on the board of directors for the Georgia Arson Control Program. He is a member of the state bar of Georgia and a member of the tort and insurance practice section as well as the workers' compensation section.
