The conference, which is due to be held from August 10-12, will address the top concerns of captives in a series of short, TED-Talk style presentations, called Ignite Talks. Conference organisers asked local captives to list some of their top concerns for the talks to address, and received a significant and varied list of concerns in response.

Topics include: parametric insurance; cyber regulation; captive strategic planning; third party risk; tax strategies; employee benefits; premium payment options; use of insurtech; cell structures; legacy solutions; mentorship; managing volatility; risk distribution; predictive modelling for workers comp; finance and investment strategies; actuarial impact of the pandemic; and situational awareness.

The VCIA’s annual conference will host Ignite Talks to address these concerns, conference organisers said.
