Programme manager Starwind Specialty Insurance Services has appointed two veteran insurance executives to bolster its cannabis insurance solutions offering.
Starwind, which focuses on providing niche insurance solutions and is a subsidiary of CRC Group, said Tony McIntosh has been appointed as a programme president responsible for developing innovative insurance programmes, with a primary focus on cannabis.
Starwind said McIntosh has more than 20 years of industry experience, and his background includes retail property and casualty brokerage experience as well as more than a decade of delegated underwriting expertise. McIntosh is a 2023, 2022, and 2020 Insurance Business America Hot 100 Award winner as well as a 2022 Insurance Business Global 100 winner.
Eric Morrison has been appointed as an executive vice president tasked with creating cannabis insurance solutions.
