Marsh appoints new Pacific captive leader

Marsh has announced that Shawn Willis has been appointed as captive strategy leader, Pacific, based in Sydney, New South Wales.

In a statement posted on LinkedIn Marsh said: “Whether you're asking if a captive is right for your business, or getting more from one you already run, having a dedicated strategy resource in your corner makes the difference. This is a newly created role focused entirely on helping our clients evaluate, optimise, and build long-term captive strategies aligned to their risk and business objectives.

“Shawn brings deep experience advising large and complex clients on risk financing and alternative risk transfer and will bring Marsh's global resources and capabilities to the conversation.”

Willis joined Marsh in 2006 and has been dealing with alternative risk and captive management since then. He was first a managing principal and then became practice leader in October 2015.

Prior to that he worked for Willis as an account director from 1995 to 2006.

He was an account executive at Marsh from 1990 to 1995.
