VCIA celebrates attendee milestone in 40th year

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA), the largest captive membership association in the world, has begun its 40th Anniversary Conference by revealing that the event will also boast a record attendee turnout.

The conference, which started yesterday (Monday August 11) at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, will see more than 1,100 captive professionals gather at the site to collaborate and debate industry challenges.

VCIA’s milestone event will host insurance professionals from 45 US states and eight countries and features over 300 first timers and 350+ captive owners.

“This conference has been eleven months in the making, and our staff, Board and volunteers have given it their all for it. We’re excited now to share the experience with membership and attendees,” said VCIA CEO Kevin Mead.

A leading advocate on the state and federal levels for captive insurance, VCIA membership includes Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses. The Annual Conference is its flagship event and retains a sterling reputation around the world for its cutting-edge educational sessions and networking opportunities. This year's conference commemorates 40 years of VCIA, which has been instrumental in the growth and success of Vermont’s world- leading captive domicile.
