WTW gains Martin from South Carolina DOI

Ryan Martin (pictured) has left the South Carolina Department of Insurance (SCDOI) and started a new job as account executive - captive insurance at WTW.

Martin worked at the SCDOI for just over three and a half years. He joined it in June 2021 as a financial analyst in the SCDOI’s captive insurance division, where his duties included obtaining, reviewing and analysing annual and quarterly insurer financial statements and related supplemental regulatory filings relevant to the current and prospective financial solvency of insurers and/or groups for risk retention groups and non-risk retention groups.

He was appointed supervising financial analyst in March 2023, whilst also being appointed senior financial analyst in the captive insurance division in April 2022, based in Charleston, South Carolina.

Prior to the SCDOI he was a financial analyst in the financial and market regulation division of the Mississippi Insurance Department from 2016 to March 2021.
