Adams steps down from Baker Roofing
The chair of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association is retiring as vice president for risk management at Baker Roofing.
Ron Adams (pictured), who became the first captive owner to become chair of the NCCIA in February, stepped down from the company on January 1.
He will transition to a consulting role with NFP Insurance Brokers, where he will continue to work with Baker Roofing and other clients.
"I will remain active with the captive industry and continue to support its growth and, more importantly, the NCCIA," Adams said.
His term as NCCIA board chair will conclude at the association's annual conference in May, 2025.
Prior to Baker Roofing Company, Adams held senior positions in risk
management and product development with major US insurance companies, as well as positions in sales management and marketing.
During his 35-year career in the insurance industry, he has developed risk management programmes for the healthcare industry, transportation, construction and association-based clients.
