AIRROC appoints Reynolds to succeed Carolyn Fahey as executive director
The Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies (AIRROC) has appointed Katie Reynolds (pictured right) as its new executive director, succeeding Carolyn Fahey (pictured left).
Fahey has announced her departure after more than a decade of service to AIRROC.
Her leadership is widely credited with strengthening AIRROC’s position and expanding its influence within the insurance industry ecosystem.
AIRROC said Fahey will remain involved during the transition period until mid-June and continue in a consulting capacity thereafter to ensure continuity.
Dawn Ballin, chair of the board, said: “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Carolyn for her many years of service, dedication and enthusiasm. Her departure leaves a huge hole yet her legacy will continue to make an impact on the organization.”
Reynolds, a qualified lawyer, joins AIRROC with nearly a decade of experience in the legacy market through roles at Hartford and RiverStone. Reynolds brings a strong record of leadership within AIRROC, having served as a Board Member and co-chair of the Digital Content Committee, as well as being a founding member of the NextGen Council.
Fahey stated: “Leading AIRROC over the past 13 years has been a true honor. The group of individuals who have served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Council over the years are among the best and the brightest in the business, and I’m grateful to call each and every one a friend and colleague. My departure is, of course, bittersweet, as AIRROC has been my passion and a core part of my identity. I can look back with pride at all that we have accomplished together. I am forever grateful for the many colleagues around the world who I have worked with as part of the AIRROC family.”
