Asian Captive Conference registration opens

Registration has opened for the Asian Captive Conference 2023.

This year’s conference will start be on Thursday, 7 September 2023 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The conference is a collaboration between Labuan International Insurance Association and Labuan IBFC and is dedicated to the development of self-insurance in the region.

The one-day conference themed The Connected Risk Journey in Self-Insurance aims to help risk professionals navigate their risk journey at crucial touchpoints in the changing risk landscape.

The conference will discuss IFRS17 requirements and its related impact on self-insurance as well as explore key considerations and strategies related to various self-insurance models.

The ACC 2023 will showcase two dedicated break-out sessions in the second half of the day:
• Captives 101: For participants interested in forming a captive
• Advanced Captive: For participants that are/represent existing captive owners
