Gallagher Re expands strategic advisory team

Daniel Knüsli has joined global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re’s Strategic & Financial Advisory team as client demand for expertise and insight across the risk and capital spectrum continues.

Based in Zurich but with a global role, Knüsli will split his time between London and other international insurance hubs as needed by clients.

Bringing more than 20 years’ experience across underwriting, analytics and client service, Knüsli joins from Swiss Re where he spent 12 years and most recently served as head of P&C analytics, having begun his career as a casualty underwriter with Zurich Insurance Group.

Commenting on Knüsli’s appointment and the continued investment in S&FA, Andrew Newman, president of Gallagher Re, said: “As the pursuit of operational and performance improvement, capital optimisation and cycle management continues apace with all its inherent challenges, our clients have never needed access to strategic insight and analytical expertise more. At Gallagher Re we are uniquely positioned to provide that, as trusted advisors, right across the risk and capital spectrum. As such we are continuing to invest in our team of multi-disciplinary specialists, to provide the right mix of insight and guidance.

“The addition of Daniel to our global team, with his powerful blend of leadership and client advisory experience, combined with underwriting and analytical skills, represents another fantastic acquisition of talent to our team. As a diverse and expanding team we can support clients on any strategic and corporate challenge, whether that identifying new growth opportunities, implementing new products, digital transformation or performance analysis. We are delighted Daniel has chosen to join Gallagher Re to help us and our clients grow.”
