Hydra Insurance unveils new board president

Tawana Tannock has been elected as president of the board of directors of Hydra Insurance Company, the captive reinsurance company for the 12 Clubs comprising the International Group of P&I Clubs.

Tannock has been managing director of marine insurer Skuld since February 2019, based in Hamilton, Bermuda.

She first joined the Hydra board as a non-executive director in November 2018, becoming vice-president of the board in May 2022.

Tannock was chairperson of the Bermuda Human Rights Commission from 2015 to 2018.

She also worked for Marsh in Bermuda for four and a half years, joining as a claims advocate and assistant vice president in 2012 and rising to be vice president, claims and compliance in April 2015.
