Blue Ocean Reinsurance appoints new chief accounting officer

Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group has welcomed Chad Smith as chief accounting officer. 

Currently based in Canada, Smith joins their team of experts to lead the accounting function of the business and provide expert guidance and advice to their clients.

Originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Smith graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) in 2013. He went on to complete his CPA in 2014 and started his career with Grant Thornton. 

In 2016 he moved to the Cayman Islands where he developed experience spanning a variety of industries including insurance, private equity and professional services, moving back to Canada in 2020.
