Captive International launches second edition of Influential Women!
Captive International is proud to announce the publication of our second edition of Influential Women in Captive Insurance – our special project that we hope will acknowledge the key role of women in this industry.
Once again, we celebrate many of the key women in the captive insurance industry, as chosen by our readers. We salute the role that they play and the positive energy that they bring to the world of captives – a sector becoming ever more diverse in all ways.
To assemble this year’s list, we once again appealed to our audience to nominate individuals they see as excelling in the captive insurance sector – and who are worthy of recognition. Our readers again came through; we received many excellent submissions, which we carefully assessed by our in-house editorial team and sense checked by some external leading industry figures.
It was not easy, but we eventually selected 25 names who are now profiled in this issue. We are calling them the ‘Class of 2025’.
Readers will be wondering why we have 25 names this year – last year we had 50. That is because we see this as a long-term project designed to celebrate women in captive insurance.
As such, last year’s 50-strong cohort are again profiled and their work recognised. We have updated their biographies with any new career moves.
That means we now have 75 incredible women profiled. The alternative was a debate around who from the ‘Class of 2024’ should remain or be removed. That was not a decision we wanted to make – and not something we felt served anyone.
Reading through the list, many names will likely be familiar to you; others perhaps less so. We see that as a good thing. We had some excellent nominations – some unsung heroes will appear in these pages.
It is also worth noting, this is not ranked. It is published in alphabetical order. Again, this is because it is intended to be a celebration of female leadership. All individuals featured have, in some way, been outstanding as recognised by their peers and our readership.
Therefore, the edition contains the ‘Class of 2025’ and the ‘Class of 2024’. But this is just the start. Who will join them next year? Once again, take a long look around your office. Next year’s cohort awaits the spotlight. Who will you nominate?
