Future of insurance the topic for VCIA 2024 keynote speech
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has announced details of its special event keynote for the 39th Annual VCIA Conference this August, with futurist and global trends and innovations analyst Jim Carroll delivering the address on Wednesday August 14th.
Carroll will present “The Future of Insurance” as it specifically relates to the captive insurance sector. He has previously given remarks at The World Bank, NASA, and The World Street Journal, among other prestigious organisations.
The VCIA said that Carroll is well known for his highly customised, heavily researched, industry specific keynote presentations and he will provide the same approach to captive insurance at #VCIA2024. “There is no doubt that in the world of insurance we are seeing relentless fast change, and I will offer a theme of ‘think big, act small, and scale fast’ as it relates to the captive insurance community at the VCIA Conference,” Carroll said.
“We are thrilled to have Jim Carroll as the 2024 conference keynote speaker,” said VCIA chief executive Kevin Mead. “He is the natural choice based on the fundamentals of captive insurance —dealing with uncertainty and emerging and unforeseen risks.”
Conference Chair Maigh Wright of Marsh added, “the task force thoroughly vetted keynote candidates and Jim Carroll was the clear choice. The energy he brings will be palpable to the audience and they will come away with valuable insights on what the future may hold for managing risk.”
Conference registration is currently open and early bird rates run through the month of June.
