HDI appoints new board members and head of risk consulting

HDI Global has appointed two new board members, including Dirk Höring. He succeeds Claire McDonald as the board member with responsibility for property, engineering and marine cargo insurance as well as HDI Risk Consulting.

Höring is head of international programmes with responsibility for around 5,000 international programmes. He is also a member of the executive board of globally operating reinsurer HDI Global Network AG, responsible for finance, re/insurance accounting, asset and liquidity management and risk management.

He joins the board with Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner, who takes over responsibility for global claims management and business in Germany. She is already responsible for the German business as managing director. Both will join the board on April 1.

The appointments follow last month’s announcement of David Vigier as its new chief commercial officer and head of captives. Vigier had previously worked for the Erget Group and held leading roles with Sanlam Pan Africa, Europcar Mobility Group and AIG.
