ICCIE to hold new Hot Topic webinar on economy

The direction of the US economy and how captive insurers can prepare is the subject of a webinar to be held next month. 

The Hot Topic webinar organised by the International Centre for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 2pm Eastern Standard Time. 

It will focus on investment strategies.

The event has a registration deadline of Monday, February 26, 2024.

The presenters will be Joe Schimenti of Consensus Management and Carl Terzer of CapVisor Associates.

ICCIE said the programme content will be: “Captive boards and investment committee members are asking: where’s the economy headed – soft landing or possible recession? Where are inflation and interest rates heading – up/down or flat? 

"How are the stock and bond markets likely to react? Do you need to consider tactical adjustments to your strategic asset allocation and if so, how? 

"In this webinar, we’ll address these issues using the latest economic and market data most relevant for captive insurers.”
