ICS announces first Innovator Award winner

Innovative Captive Strategies (ICS), an Iowa-based captive management company, has unveiled its first-ever ICS Innovator Award. 

The first award recipient, Summers-Taylor, is a materials producer and heavy construction contractor, providing services throughout Tennessee. According to ICS Summers-Taylor’s  Proving Grounds service made: “a transformative impact on driver safety, productivity, and employee retention through their driver training program. When the company gained land near its Johnson City, Tennessee headquarters, it set out to revolutionise safety practices.

“The Proving Grounds offers live training simulations for dump truck and concrete mixer operators, allowing operators to prepare for real-world job site challenges like navigating uneven terrain and avoiding obstacles.

“Since its launch, the organisation has reduced vehicle accidents by addressing 77% of incidents through training. Summers-Taylor’s proactive approach ensures more drivers return home safely every day.”

The ICS awards honour forward-thinking risk management solutions among captive members. With many captive members throughout the US, the Innovator Award gives ICS the opportunity to highlight its captive insurance members’ ongoing efforts to improve safety and risk management.
