Lawyer moves to KPMG Cayman

Cayman captive insurance veteran Tony De Quintal has joined KPMG in the Cayman Islands as a partner.

DeQuintal, a former Captive International best Cayman lawyer award winner, was at Walkers as a partner from 2021, and was senior counsel from 2018.

He was previously global vice president for compliance and general counsel for Tempo Worldwide in the Cayman Islands from 2014 to 2018.

He was chief analyst at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority from 2010 to 2014. 

He moved to Cayman from the UK in 2010, having been a senior associate and general counsel at the Financial Services Authority from 2005 to 2010.
