New examiner in charge for Vermont DFR

Nina Hurley has been hired as examiner in charge at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation.

Hurley was previously senior account executive at AIG, based in Burlington, Vermont, from July 2021 to September 2024.

Hurley was a member of Captive International’s 2024 Forty Under 40 list, our annual publication that celebrate the up and coming young talent in the captive insurance industry. 

Prior to her time in AIG Hurley was a senior accountant at Beecher Carlson from August 2015 to July 2021. 

Before that she was senior audit associate at Johnson Lambert from January 2011 to July 2015, again in Burlington, Vermont.
