New MD at Guernsey arm of Artex Risk Solutions

Mark Owen is starting a new position as managing director at Artex Risk Solutions (Guernsey).

He was previously managing director / chief operating officer of One Underwriting (Bermuda) from January 2020 to September 2024, on Bermuda, where he was responsible for developing and implementing forward-thinking, inclusive, and performance-oriented business culture and strategies to lead innovation and create significant growth opportunities.

Prior to that he worked for Aon, again on Bermuda, first as vice president and head of insurance solutions from February 2016 to January 2020 and then as senior vice president until he left the company in September 2024.

The latter role he was responsible for delivering strategic guidance to client board's, enabling the successful execution of business objectives, developing and leading client service teams in the creation and execution of strategic and tactical insurance and risk solutions and  enabling clients to achieve success through the creation of effective, diverse and inclusive teams.
