Call for sponsors and partners for Asian Captive Conference

The Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC) has issued a call for sponsors and partners for this year’s Asian Captive Conference.

The event is returning for its sixth year as an in-person event on Thursday, 7 September 2023 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9.00am to 5.30pm.

The conference, which is a collaboration between Labuan International Insurance Association and Labuan IBFC Incorporated, is dedicated to the development of self-insurance in the region.

The one-day conference themed The Connected Risk Journey in Self-Insurance aims to help risk professionals navigate their risk journey at crucial touchpoints in the changing risk landscape.

The conference will discuss IFRS17 requirements and its related impact on self-insurance as well as explore key considerations and strategies related to various self-insurance models.

The ACC 2023 will showcase two dedicated break-out sessions in the second half of the day:

• Captives 101: For participants interested in forming a Captive

• Advanced Captive: For participants that are/represent existing Captive owners
