Concert appoints new senior corporate counsel
Concert Group Holdings has appointed Edward Renner to the newly created position of vice president, senior corporate counsel.
Reporting to chief legal officer Matthew Wagner, Renner’s initial focus will be contract review and management, the management and development of internal policies and procedures, and human resources oversight. He will be based in Chicago.
“We’re delighted to welcome Ed to Concert,” commented chief executive John Hendrickson. “He brings more than 20 years of contract management, litigation and compliance function experience to Concert, all valuable skills that will further bolster our ongoing commitment to operational excellence.
“We’re pleased that the momentum we’re establishing continues to attract top-notch talent to our ranks. We’re developing the deep bench strength needed to execute our vision of creating the most efficient and responsive specialty carrier focused on both the program and captive marketplaces.”
Renner comes to Concert from the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) where he was assistant vice president, corporate counsel. During his four years at APCIA, he was responsible for high volume contract management, legal enterprise risk management and enforcement compliance with APCIA’s insurance-related contract obligations. He also supported the organisation’s human resources function and was a regular presenter at its annual Human Resources Conference.
