MAXIS GBN names David Watts as director of member management

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) has appointed David Watts as its new director of member management, effective July 1.

Watts is currently senior business development executive at MAXIS GBN. He has over 25 years’ experience in the global employee benefits industry, having joined AIG Global Benefits Network (Alico) in 2002, where he worked as an account manager on the European sales team, before becoming an account executive in 2007.

He started working with MAXIS GBN when Alico was acquired by MetLife in 2010. MAXIS GBN is a joint venture between MetLife and AXA.

In his new role Watts will report to Jérôme Picon, head of finance and operations, leading a team of four professionals focused on serving MAXIS GBN’s local insurers and supporting the growth of the firm’s global network.

Picon said: “During his time in the business development team, [Watts] has developed a strong understanding of our network’s structure, operations and members. Since 2010, he has successfully managed a portfolio of some of MAXIS GBN’s largest global captive programmes. His technical understanding, combined with his ability to form strong relationships, will serve him very well in his new role.”
