New COO at Fresenius Medical Care Global Insurance

Joe Grima is starting a new position as chief operating officer at Fresenius Medical Care Global Insurance, based in Malta.

Grima was previously insurance manager at Vodafone, where he managed Vodafone’s captive group property and casualty insurance program across all territories where Vodafone held subsidiaries and associated companies. This included a substantial fronted program in admitted territories, together with fiscal and regulatory submissions and declarations in the various territories.

Before that he was a terminology contractor - insurance and reinsurance (Solvency II) at European Commission from March 2016 to December 2022, where he had to identify the most suitable Maltese language equivalents of a series of English entries in the field of business of insurance and reinsurance (Solvency II).

Prior to that he was a senior technical specialist at Bee Insurance Management  from April 2013 to April 2016.
