Sansom welcomes captives challenge at Zurich

Emma Sansom has officially stepped into the head of captives role for Zurich Insurance, effective from 1st January, and will move to Zurich in a week’s time.

In a statement released on LinkedIn Sansom said that she is very much looking forward to this exciting new chapter.

“The captive industry is such an interesting place to be at the moment,” said Sansom. “Not just a way of providing sustainable risk-financing, a captive can be a valuable lever in designing innovative solutions to emerging risk challenges, and a key enabler to the parent achieving its own business objectives and transition to a low-carbon future. Sustainability is an absolutely critical topic and you'll be hearing more from us on this topic.

“I'm looking forward to exploring these challenges in my new role and working closely with our customers, distribution networks, and colleagues to optimise the opportunities that we see out there.”

Zurich announced that Sansom was taking over the position in November 2022.
