Connecticut insurance regulator promotes Fenhua Liu to director of captives
Fenhua Liu has been named as the new director of the Connecticut Insurance Department’s captive insurance division.
Liu has more than 25 years of broad global experience in insurance and risk management and has worked at the Connecticut insurance regulator since 2009, working with captives and risk retention groups. Before that she was director of finance at Travelers.
Andrew Mais, the Connecticut Insurance Department Commissioner, said: “As one of the top domiciles in the US in premium dollars in 2019, Connecticut has a portfolio with a number of large captives. The Department is working to make Connecticut the domicile of choice for captive insurance companies.”
