Three captives registered on Bermuda in December 2024

Fifteen new insurance companies were registered on Bermuda in December 2024, including three captives, according to the latest figures from the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Two Class 1 insurers, or single-owner captives, were registered, Ranger Insurance and Dentsply Sirona Reinsurance.

One Class 2 insurer, or a multi-owner captive, was also registered, named The Captive Advantage Reinsurance.

The other registrations included one Class 3B insurer, a Class 4 insurer, one Class A, one Class C, two Class E insurers, one Innovative General Business insurer, two unrestricted SPIs, one restricted SPI, an agent and a broker.

The December figures take the yearly total number of registrations on the island to 75.
