Marsh Captive Solutions reveals new leadership

Marsh Captive Solutions has appointed Ellen Charnley as its new president, succeeding Nick Durant, who has joined Guy Carpenter in a senior advisory role. Reporting to Michael Poulos, Marsh's client advisory services leader, Charnley will have oversight of Marsh's captive solutions business, which manages more than 1,200 captives across 44 domiciles. Charnley has over 20 years of experience in the captives industry, and previously served as global sales leader of Marsh Captive Solutions and other consulting businesses. Prior to that, she was responsible for Marsh’s West Zone Captive Advisory Practice and served as the office head of Marsh’s Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada captive management operations. Poulos said: “In today’s ever-changing, complex risk environment, it is critical that we deliver strategic advice powered by advanced data, analytics, and technology solutions to our captive clients. Ellen is a proven leader with extensive captive expertise and is ideally suited to lead our practice going forward.”  Charnley added: “I’m thrilled to lead this experienced team of captive professionals and further deliver Marsh’s industry-leading capabilities to help our clients manage risk on their own terms and gain more control over their company’s economic cost of risk.”
