Scor appoints new head of alternative solutions for North America

Minas Kalachian (pictured) has joined Scor as senior vice president, head of alternative solutions, North America.

In a statement on LinkedIn Eric LeMercier, alternative solutions chief underwriting officer at Scor Global P&C said: “In this role, Minas will lead our strategic engagement across the North America P&C market, supporting business development efforts through client and broker origination activities and the continued development of SCOR’s alternative solutions offering in the region.”

Kalachian was previously at Canada Life Reinsurance, working on US P&C Capital Solutions from September 2025 until October 2026.

Before that he worked as a re/insurance and capital markets professional advisor from January 2024 until September 2025.

He was managing director at Allianz Risk Transfer - Capital Solutions from November 2018 until July 2022.
