York appoints insurance client segment general manager


York Risk Services Group has appointed Tom Hebson as general manager of its insurance client segment.

In this role, Hebson will oversee York’s alternative risk solutions business along the the programmes and risk control businesses. He will serve York’s insurance carrier, alternative risk and MGA clients on a national basis and within the London market.

He will report to Thomas Warsop, chairman and CEO of York, and succeeds Rick Stasi, who is retiring.

“Tom’s significant industry experience and fresh perspective at York is ideal to lead our Insurance client segment and help our clients holistically manage risk,” said Warsop.

Hebson has over 30 years of experience and previously served as vice president for large guaranteed cost workers’ compensation and captive services at Safety National Casualty Corporation. Prior to this he held leadership roles at Midwest Employers and AIG.

“York has extensive partnerships with carriers, brokers, captives, and industry experts along with the ability to partner in risk sharing with eligible clients, and I’m looking forward to building on these partnerships for continued success,” said Hebson.
