Carr takes off as risk management director at Delta

Erica Carr (pictured) has begun a new role as director of risk management at Delta Air Lines.

In a statement on LinkedIn Carr said: “This transition marks the close of an incredibly meaningful chapter in my career at Brown & Brown, where I built deep expertise, leading through complexity, and working alongside exceptional colleagues and clients. I’m sincerely grateful for the experiences and relationships that shaped my leadership approach and prepared me for this next step.

“I’m also honoured to step into this role following Rick Price, whose leadership and contributions established a strong and resilient risk management foundation at Delta. I appreciate the opportunity to build on the work he accomplished and to carry that momentum forward.

“As I begin this role, I’m energized by the opportunity to contribute to Delta’s mission and to partner with teams across the organization to evolve a proactive risk strategy—one that leverages data and real-time insights to enable informed decision-making and sustained success.”

Carr was at Brown & Brown for more than 11 years, starting as a senior vice president / ZOOM sales leader from May 2014 to November 2016, before being appointed national casualty claims practice leader from November 2016 until May 2019, when she became chief claim officer, a post she held until her departure from the company.

Before that she was an area vice president at Arthur J. Gallagher from May 2009 until May 2014.
