Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands  is a member firm of Grant Thornton International, one of the world's leading organizations of independently owned and managed accounting and consulting firms providing assurance, tax and specialist advisory services to privately held businesses and public interest entities. Proactive teams, led by approachable partners in these firms, use insights, experience and instinct to solve complex issues for privately owned, publicly listed and public sector clients. Over 31,000 Grant Thornton people, across 100 countries, are focused on making a difference to clients, colleagues and the communities in which we live and work.

Grant Thornton's services are designed to go beyond the basic task of providing assurance on the financial performance of your business; we strive to provide insights that help businesses.

We believe that a good auditor will use their skills to gather information which will add value to your company and provide the basis for major business planning success. We regard the audit as a tool for forward planning, not just a retrospective accounting review.

We also place a great emphasis on our relationship with our clients. Only by working in partnership with management can we help them recognize their strengths and weaknesses and identify the best way of growing their business.

At Grant Thornton we have re-engineered our audit approach, drawing from the collective experience of our assurance specialists worldwide, to identify and anticipate the risks facing many businesses in today's complex market place. Grant Thornton Horizon represents a major investment in leading-edge technology and reflects a commitment to providing clients with the highest standard of service.

Ours is a partner-led service where experienced specialists are involved in all stages of the process to ensure that what we deliver corresponds to your needs and expectations.

The Cayman Islands is the second largest offshore centre for captive insurance and is the number one jurisdiction for healthcare captives. In addition to healthcare insurance, captives will also insure workers compensation and other risks. Grant Thornton specializes in the audit of captive insurance companies, from those insuring small groups of individuals to large single parent captives, group captives and SPCs. All of our partners, managers and audit seniors have considerable experience in this field and understand the issues facing captive insurance companies and the industry.

In addition, through our associated company, Caribbean Management Limited we are registered by the Trade & Business Licensing Board to provide company management and registered office services.
