Davies creates new senior management team
Davies has announced a new senior management team who will lead a newly formed clients and markets function. The new market, proposition, client and growth leadership roles will report to chief client officer, James McEwen (pictured) and will be responsible for growing the firm's claims and legal offering in the UK, Ireland and further European territories.
The market leadership appointments include Samantha Ramen as market director - commercial lines, Pamela Davies as market director – personal lines, Connie Cobb, as market director – specialty Lines and Andrew Evans as market director – broking & major risks. The team of market directors will lead the development and growth of Davies’ service offering in the respective markets.
The new structure will also feature dedicated proposition leadership for volume operations by class of claim including Andrew Dakin as head of proposition for property, John McKie as head of proposition for casualty, Andy Smith as head of proposition of motor claims and Damian Ward as head of proposition for motor legal solutions and counter fraud.
Client management has been enhanced by unifying client teams across Davies’ claims and legal businesses to optimise the benefit clients receive from the full breadth of solutions available from Davies. The client team features new client directors, associate client directors and client service managers in a major investment drive to enhance client service.
The news follows the recent announcement that Davies has expanded its claims offering further into Europe with the opening of a new office in Milan, Italy – the firm’s first dedicated claims operation outside of its existing operational centres in the US, UK & Ireland. Davies’ Italian base provides scalable claims TPA and loss adjusting solutions for the Lloyd’s of London Market, as well as Italian and global insurers with operations in Italy.
McEwen said: “The new senior structure within our clients and markets function has been created to ensure we deliver additional value to our clients through the development of highly targeted segment specific solutions that build on the unique breadth and scale of claims and legal solutions available from Davies today. We continue to expand and add depth to our insurance market offering through European expansion and technology investment as well as targeted hires and acquisitions and I am confident that this new leadership team will ensure the benefits of this expansion are fully realised by our clients.”
