
Devin O’Brien leaves Artex for Captive Resources
Devin O’Brien (pictured) has joined Captive Resources as its new head of domestic captive management.
O’Brien joins after a 10-year stay with Artex, where he held a number of senior captive roles – most recently being promoted a year ago to executive vice president – captive management, North America.
This role involved overseeing captive management and client servicing for Artex’s North American domiciles which include the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Vermont, South Carolina, Hawaii and Arizona.
He first joined Artex in Cayman after two years with PwC Cayman Islands, where he worked as a senior associate in its captive insurance practice, and is a previous One to Watch in the Captive Review Power 50 publication.
Captive Resources specialises in group captive solutions. Announcing his move there on LinkedIn, O’Brien described the company as a “world class group captive consultant.”
“My passion in insurance has always been the group captive model, so I can’t wait to hit the ground running in contributing all my skills and effort into CRI’s ongoing success and growth,” he said. “There is also no doubt that I am going to expand my expertise in new ways from all the seasoned and accomplished captive experts I will have the privilege to learn from.”
