Legal trio join Husch Blackwell

US law firm Husch Blackwell has added Phoenix-based corporate partners Tasha Cycholl and Andrew McNichol and Austin-based partner Lauren Ybarra to the firm’s financial services & capital markets industry team.

The trio focuses their practice on insurance regulation and corporate and administrative law where they advise insurers, large business entity producers, and other regulated entities. They assist in preparing annual and other regulatory filings, defending insurers and producers against administrative enforcement actions, preparing responses to inquiries or complaints from regulators, and assisting in the formation, licensing, and redomestication of traditional and captive insurers, including the preparation and negotiation of applications required to obtain regulatory approval.

“We’re thrilled that Tasha, Andrew, and Lauren have joined Husch Blackwell,” said Sverre Roang, leader of the firm’s Financial Services and Capital Markets industry group. “They significantly grow the corporate side of our insurance practice and will play a large role in helping us expand the team in 2025. They have deep connections within the industry, which will not only benefit those efforts but help us better serve the needs of our clients.”

“Husch Blackwell’s national platform provides tremendous opportunities to grow the insurance regulatory practice,” Cycholl said. “We’re eager to leverage the firm’s existing capabilities to further deliver positive outcomes for our clients. We could not be more delighted to be here.”

Cycholl and McNichol arrive from Kutak Rock while Ybarra comes from McGlinchey Stafford.
