Marsh reshuffles global placement leaders

Marsh has announced senior leadership appointments within its global placement practice. As from today November 1, Christopher Lang will assume the role of digital leader, Marsh specialty and global placement, reporting to Pat Donnelly, president, Marsh specialty and global placement.

In this newly created role, Lang will lead Marsh’s digital global insurance placement strategy designed to improve the client experience and operational efficiency. This initiative will enable Marsh brokers and underwriters to connect, share data, and trade risk seamlessly and efficiently on a proprietary platform. Lang has spent the last 30 years of his career at Marsh in various placement leadership roles, most recently serving as global placement leader US and Canada. He is based in New York.

Succeeding Lang are Marsh veterans Daniel Aronson, US casualty practice leader, and Michael Rouse, US property practice leader. As co-global placement leaders for the region, Aronson and Rouse will drive all elements of Marsh’s global placement strategy in the US and Canada, working with key global and regional stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and challenge the market to meet the evolving needs of clients. They will continue to be based in New York and serve in their respective casualty and property leadership roles. They will report to John Donnelly, global head of placement.

Commenting on appointments, Pat Donnelly said: “These appointments illustrate our continued commitment to delivering differentiated value to clients as their risk advisor of the future. Chris, Dan, and Mike are highly regarded executives with deep relationships within the insurance marketplace. Together, they will create a smoother, more streamlined experience for our clients, while unlocking the best opportunities and results for them as they respond to traditional and emerging risks.”
