Ryan Specialty appoints new DEI head
Ryan Specialty has announced that Carlos Herrera has joined the diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) team as vice president and will be supporting Ryan Specialty’s ongoing efforts to promote DEI at the firm.
Additionally, Herrera will continue to develop Ryan Specialty’s external relationships by building strong alliances within the insurance industry and within the communities where Ryan Specialty does business.
Herrera brings 24 years of experience in talent acquisition & management and DEI. Carlos comes to Ryan Specialty from Allstate, where he was influential in implementing key DEI performance standards that supported the company’s employee life cycle and key human resources initiatives. He led the organisation’s employee resource groups, disability inclusion strategies, and DEI recruitment and training, along with building and partnering with key external stakeholders.
