Bermuda registers new captives

The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) has released the latest figures for insurance company registrations on the island, including two captives.

According to the BMA, Apex Captive, a Class 1 single-owner captive insurance company, registered on April 20, along withSeven30 Insurance (Bermuda) Co, a Class 2 multi-owner captive on April 27.

Two restricted special purpose insurers were also registered on Bermuda, Purple Re on April 3 and Bayou Re on April 17.

Finally on April 26 collateralised insurer Arbol Re was registered.
