Bermuda Captive Conference to open next week
About 400 delegates are expected to attend next week's Bermuda Captive Conference as the event celebrates its 20th anniversary.Organiser the Bermuda Captive Network said the event, themed 'Navigating Captive Horizons', features a range of talks and paneldiscussions and will also make a lifetime achievement award to an industry leader.
The event takes place on September 9 and 10 at Pier Six in Hamilton.The 2024 conference features a comprehensive agenda filled withkeynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions thatexplore the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in the captive insurance industry.
“Each session has been thoughtfully crafted to address the most pressingtopics in the captive industry, with a strong focus on innovative strategies and the robust regulatory framework that Bermuda offers to captives,” a statement said.
The event will kick off with a welcome from Bermuda Captive Conference Chair Thomas McMahon, joined by Jason Hayward, Minister of Economy and Labour, who will discuss Bermuda’s economic development and outlook for the future.
McMahon, who is also executive vice president of Davies Captive Management, said: “As we celebrate the 20th Bermuda Captive Conference, we are proud to present a programme that reflects both our legacy of excellence and our forward-looking approach to the future of the captive sector. We have brought together an exceptional line-up of speakers, sessions, and networking opportunities that address the key challenges and opportunities in today’s market.
