Aon appoints new head of operations and underwriting for captive EB services

Aon has hired Zulu Khan as its new head of operations and underwriting for captive employee benefits (EB) services. Based in Paris, Khan specialises in underwriting captive employee benefits risks, including life, accident, disability and medical risks, and is focused on simplifying the EB captive migration journey for clients.

Khan was formerly a VP for client management with Granite Management Limited, a Bermuda-based captive management and international employee benefit (IEB) consulting company specialising in the reinsurance and financing of IEB programs.

He previously worked in a range of positions focussed on pensions risks. He was head of sales and underwriting and head of pension risk transfer at Generali Global Pension and held positions with Axa, Morneau Shepell and EDS Service Solutions.

Khan’s appointment follows the launch last week of a new global team supporting captives for employee benefits risks with issues around reinsurance under the leadership of Sven Roelandt.
