MGAA listens to members as it relaunches learning & education programme
The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has announced the relaunch of its programme of learning & insights, redesigned to deliver greater value for members and to further strengthen expertise across the delegated authority market.
According to the MGAA, as the MGA landscape continues to evolve, so too do the demands placed on firms operating within it. Feedback from MGAA members highlighted a clear need for deeper technical learning, clearer regulatory insight and more structured opportunities to stay ahead of market change. The refreshed programme has been developed directly in response, offering practical, high-quality learning that supports professional development, strengthens operational capability and enables MGAs to navigate an increasingly complex environment with confidence.
The enhanced programme of learning & insights is built around three core content categories, each designed to equip MGAA members with the knowledge, clarity and skills that drive better decision-making and improved business performance.
Formerly known as market briefings, professional optics continues to deliver topical insight from MGAA members, for MGAA members. Sessions are led by subject matter experts and focus on key market developments, emerging risks and practical perspectives from across the MGA community.
A new category of learning content, compass spotlight provides timely updates and awareness on industry developments, regulatory change and emerging trends. Designed to keep members informed and aligned, it supports strategic awareness in a fast-moving market.
MGAA-developed content offering deeper technical insight across critical areas of MGA operations, including:
• Compliance
• Technical underwriting
• Technical claims
• Personal lines
• Operations and finance
Together, these enhanced content streams reflect what the MGAA said is its ongoing commitment to supporting its members with relevant, high-quality education and insight, reinforcing best practice and promoting excellence across the delegated authority market.
These sessions are aligned to the CII Professional Map, providing members with access to a recognised benchmark across the insurance profession, supporting the development of core competencies and technical expertise.
