North Carolina chief captive analyst moves to SRS

Michael Arcangel, who was chief captive analyst at North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDoI), has announced that he has joined Strategic Risk Solutions as a consultant.

Arcangel worked for the NCDoI for seven years, joining in July 2016 as a captive insurance financial analyst. He was appointed senior captive insurance financial analyst in April 2017 and then supervising captive financial analyst in November 2018. He was made chief captive analyst in September 2022.

Prior to that he was an auditor at the North Carolina Department of Commerce from October 2012 to July 2016.

Arcangel was one of Captive International’s FORTY Under 40 finalists earlier this year, after being identified by his peers as being a leading young captive professional in the industry.
